INTERMEDIATE SET OF INSTRUCTIONS

If the basic program of carwash, swipes, and herbs do not keep the symptoms under control, then read on. (The acupuncturist not purporting to treat anyone long distance, she is simply sharing strategies.)

If the gut rebels from the herbs, sometimes doing the carwash for a month will clear some of the co-infections that may cause a leaky gut. Restarting the herbs slowly, gradually increasing them to the required dose, is prudent. Clearing co-infections does not mean one can return to a standard American diet of sugar, alcohol and coffee. One remains immune compromised for life and should adjust one’s habits.

While the standard set of vials contains most of the common gut, sinus bacteria and viruses, other infections require standard allopathic treatment. For example, Clostridium Difficile is a common lyme coinfection that may require antibiotics or a least the addition of saccharomyces s. boullardi probiotic to get it under control. The energy for Clostridium is included in the vial more to prevent infection than as a sole treatment. It may be necessary to find a local muscle tester who can help you sort through your difficulties. Symptoms that are not responding to any sort of treatment need professional help.

Someone who is still exhausted, sleepless and in pain could try increasing the amount of the herbs, and the frequency of the carwash and swipe treatments. Make sure that you have the Lyme virus vial that contains both XMRV and HERV-W viruses. (See Lyme Kit.) The herbs used in this protocol are rather benign, but people with Lyme can be extraordinarily sensitive to almost anything. One could also switch from the Infight 3 formula to the Western herb based Lyme Nettle 5 or vise versa, if the formulas have been in use for several months. It is probably a good idea to switch formulas every few months just to slow the development of tolerance.

Having serious Lyme disease is like being several hundred thousand dollars in debt. First the debt must be eliminated before the health can be rebuilt. The swipes and carwash produce a baseline of energy that may be adequate for mildly afflicted patients, but most patients are going to need to put up a greater defense. This defense may include herbs, vitamins, impeccable diet, exercise and reduced stress.

Once a baseline of energy has been established, then one can slowly begin to build qi through the use of acupuncture chords on the Korean Hand model. These are relatively safe sets of points that can help rebuild the weakened structures. If you had been injured and hospitalized for several months, it would not behoove one to run around the block too soon, so the weaker one is, the shorter and more frequent should be the time used on the chords. Acupuncture philosophy suggests that if you build enough qi, all negative forces of disease will crumble. The problem in Lyme disease is that conventional points and herbs used to build qi usually contribute to an autoimmune response to the muscles. Using the chords to create extra qi in the extraordinary meridians or the immune booster points is a safe way to build up the reservoir of qi in the body. The chords can also be used to further support endocrine glands that show weakness through muscle testing or through blood tests. Many clients feel that once their pain is gone and their energy has returned that they are entitled to stop all treatment. Unfortunately, their immune system is not back to normal. My experience has shown that anytime a Lyme patient stops herbs or swipes or antibiotics for more than a few days, the batteries of the immune system start to wear down, and that is reflected in a weaker pulse, weaker body muscles, and weaker tests of vials to the immune system. Strategies for more difficult Lyme are first to increase frequency of carwash and swipes. Make sure the carwash is meticulous. Have someone test you for the correct amount of herbs. Second, make sure all extraneous pathogens are being addressed. Third, build qi by doing chords of the Extraordinary Meridians. Fourth, address endocrine glands that might still be weak with chords or with glandular substances. The tide of this disease is constantly trying to wash away the sand castles we are building. An adequate defense requires a considerable amount of action.

THE CORDS

Chords are yoga for the immune system. A mini hand system of acupuncture is used to create daily self treatment. Holding points creates a lasting charge that enables the points to build immunity.

Put vial of Borrelias (US mix) on the mid-line of the body, in a pocket, or watchband. Some people put them in an ankle sock. This encourages the immune system to focus on this disease. The chords are just about the Borrelia spirochetes.

Hold each set of points lightly for six to ten minutes to stimulate and create qi from those points. Imagine your fingers creating an electrical conduct to these tiny circuits in the body. Do all chords on the chart listed for that day.

Rotate through the chords like you are watering different sets of plants. Like drip irrigation of plants, it takes a while to reach a level of connection. The longer you hold, the more qi you create. You can listen to a book, or movie, while holding.

Many people found holding the points to be tedious, so I encourage most people to place stainless steel pellets or BBs on the points. These can be purchased through an acupuncture supply source (LlasaOMS.com - accu-patch pellets). Place pellets on all points listed for one day in the pictures. Leave the pellets on overnight or at least for several hours. Remove the pellets in the morning. Silver (or stainless steel) pellets tonify while gold sedate, contrary to what is taught in school, so be careful not to use gold pellets.

Building immunity is like building a set of muscles, it will not happen overnight. For most of the world, gradually acquiring sufficient B cell immunity is the only defense to the bugs that endemically plague them. This treatment simply enhances that process.

For those of you who are truly symptomless and just want to build your immunity, its OK to do a set of chords every other day. Most people should treat daily. If you are seriously ill, consider treating 2 times per day.

Those who are deeply sensitive may have to start by treating one set of chords at a time for five minutes, to avoid exhaustion. Be sure to keep building.

If you want to build qi rapidly, use a laser from LLasa/OMS (LP-5F1) and shine it into the umbilicus while holding the chords (straight beam). The chords will then tonify in one minute instead of six.

The chords, like acupuncture, create a strong sense of relaxation and well being. Energetically, and perhaps materially, they strengthen all areas of the spinal tracts and immune system. They encourage the body to go after the disease with its own defenses.

The stronger the illness, the more sandbags you have to throw against it.

THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM

It always seemed probable that there would be exact correspondences between acupuncture points and endocrine organs, the question was how to ascertain the relationships. A rough map for evaluating endocrine imbalance was evolved by the chiropractors, just testing over the areas such as the pancreas or the thyroid. The test goes like this: the patient extends an arm, the practitioner touches the endocrine area, and pulls down on the arm. If the arm goes weak and loses resistance, then most likely the endocrine organ is deficient. Giving that particular glandular substance would usually make the arm become strong.

Chiropractors such as Dick Versandahl D.C. pioneered a whole series of reflex points more than 40 years ago. A whole system of nutritional treatment was based on this type of diagnosis. Yet often times glandular substances would have to be given for years because the organs themselves were not treated. The right acupuncture points might be able to strengthen those reflex areas as strongly as the glandulars.

Here is an example. The adrenal glands are frequently stressed and exhausted. Copious amounts of DHEA or adrenal glandular are given to supplant the diminished output of these hormones. The chiropractic adrenal test area is around K 18. A strong arm muscle would become weak touching that area, if the adrenals are weak. One checks along the Kidney channel to look for points that will strengthen that reflex. Stainless steel pellets on two different Kidney channel locations strengthen that reflex area. One is above the knee on under the distal head of the femur, the other is below the knee, under the proximal head of the tibia. (The area on the knee crease produces no result.)

The upper leg point relates to the adrenal cortex, and the lower point to the adrenal medulla. Homeopathic vials of those area must be used to ‘prove’ the case. The adrenal cortex vial only shows a correspondence to the upper point, while the adrenal medulla vial creates a strengthening response to the lower point. The patient holds each of the adrenal vials while the tester touches the Kidney points and tests a strong arm. The arm will only stay strong when touching the ‘correct’ point.

Vials are extensively used by chiropractors as a sort of energetic digital picture of various anatomical areas and substances. They consist of salt water imbued with an energetic vibration that represents either and organ or a hormone or even a bacteria. They seem to be a fairly reliable way to access areas or functions that cannot be perceive through Chinese medicine alone. Chiropractors have been using them for years to evaluate deficiencies and then confirming those deficiencies with blood tests. Blood tests showing the results of needling these endocrine points would be the ideal way to confirm these point locations, but that is beyond my means. While this makes the entire project speculative from a scientific standpoint, it still remains interesting.

What was really interesting was the difference between what the arm and leg points treated. The Kidney and Heart channels, for example, are considered both branches of the same river channel known as the Xiaoyin. The arm points of this extended channel would treat the hormones, while the leg points would treat the gland itself. Pellets were placed on the arm at Heart 3 above and below the joint. The vials relating to the adrenal hormones cleared, such as DHEA, cortisone and norepinephrine, but not the glands themselves. StrengthenIng the leg points would enhance glandular function, so both sets of vials cleared: the hormones and the adrenal glands. This case illustrates the difference between root and branch.

The endocrine system could not be full decoded until some of the channels were rerouted. The Liver channel follows the interior channel of leg all the way up through the thigh, chasing along the bone like a river in a canyon. It does not move medial to the Spleen at the Knee, nor does it move to the middle of the thigh above the knee. How can this be proved? Place a pellet on the liver point on the leg channel and then on it’s corresponding point on the Korean hand model. If both points are correctly placed it will create a strong field that can be tested with an O-ring. (Place thumb and middle finger together and try to pull it apart.) If you place a pellet on the leg on the accepted location of liver 7 and then put a pellet on it Korean point, you will not get a strong O-ring connection.

Because it is the Jueyin partner to the Liver, the Pericardium channel also follows along the radius and humerus medial to the Lung channel. Around the shoulder the Pericardium river follows the clavicle, but on the hand it follows the conventional pathway. The old Liver and Pericardium channels will get a slight amount of strength in an O-ring comparison, as they seem to be a reflection of the true channel, but the real channels will give a much stronger response.

Lyme ProtocolThe Kidney channel as it courses through the foot originates underneath the Spleen and Liver channels, and follows the same curves of the bones. K1 is found right underneath Liver 1; K2 is found media to the Essentials’ K1, under the distal head of the first metatarsal. K3 is under the proximal head, and can be accessed from SP 4. K 4 feels like the source, and is found under the cuniform, accessible from the Essentials’ K2. The correct points for the endocrine glands could not be correctly confirmed until these new points were figured out.

These points remain tentative as it is often difficult to discern whether a point is being affected by a brainstem area on the Kidney channel, or a feedback mechanism, or whether it is the actual endocrine gland itself. Regard this as a first explorer’s map of a region. Some areas for neurotransmitters and enzymes are included for their general interest.

Adrenals:

Cortex: above K 10 knee crease/HT3. It consists of three zones: Zona Glomerosa: approximately 2 inches above K 10. Hormone: Aldosterone – two inches above heart 3. Aldosterone affects Angiotenstion I, II and Renin. Zona fasciculata: approx. 1 inch above knee joint. Hormones: Cortisol, ACTH, DHEA – Ht 3.

Zona Reticularis: sex hormones (adrenal androgen, progesterone and estrogen): I/2 inch above knee joint.

Medulla: 1 inch below distal to knee joint on Kidney meridian/1 inch distal to H 3. (UB 23 innervates parasympathetic activity, while GB25 treats Sympathetic activity to both the medulla and cortex.) Hormones: norepinephrine and epinephrine.

Cholecystikinine: Half way up thigh on LV channel.

Dopamine: under proximal head of femur on K channel, and under head of humerus on Heart channel. There is also a relationship to a point 5 cun (three inches) below knee joint on K meridian. Gastrin, Intrinsic factor: LV 6 Upper – 4 fingers width below the curve of the femur, close to the bone.

Histamine: There are two type of histamine, one that produces sinus mucous and an other that produces stomach acid in reaction to food allergens. The sinus histamine is treated through the points LV 2-4, while the gut secretions are mediated through the combination of LV 5, LV 6, & LV 9, used together.

Hypothalamus: K3/HT 8 Lacrimal Glands: LV 11 a/PC 2, under the head of femur. Lymph Glands: SP 10 and above SP10/LU 5 above elbow.

Ovaries and testes: LV 8 thru 10. Hormones: testosterone (approx. 3 cun above LV 9), estrogens, progesterones /above PC 3.

Pancreas: SP 3A/LU 10. UB 20,21. ST 19-20 Hormones: Insulin: SP3a/LU10, Glucagon: SP5/LU 9, Somatostatin: SP 3/LU10. Insulin receptors: SP 7. Isles of Langehorn: SP 4. Exocrine function: lipase - SP 5. Innervation: GB 24, LV 13, SI 8, SJ 9.

Parathyroid glands: LV 4/PC 7 Parathyroid hormone: Osteocalcin. Controls the utilization of Vitamin D and Calcium. The Marshal protocol claims that vitamin D creates toxins in Lyme patient; I find that if the parathyroid is cleared and functional, then Vitamin D no longer tests negatively. Again you will find parathyroid influenced both by LV 4 on the foot and especially where the liver meridian flares around the tibia to join the ankle bone. Many clients will need supplements of parathyroid hormone along with calcium to strengthen bones and teeth and prevent cramping.

Pineal: K 1 (new)/Ht 2. Hormone: Melatonin. Helps with sleep.

Pituitary:

Anterior: LV 2/PC9. Hormones: Growth Hormone, Prolactin: LV 2/PC9, Prolactin

Releasing Hormone: SI 1. TSH, ACTH, FSH. Luteinizing hormone.

Posterior: LV 3a/PC 8. LV 3 is found on the tarsal metatarsal joint. There is also some connection with Lv 7, possibly through a feedback mechanism with the sex hormones. (LV 7 is found on the medial side of SP 9, on the curve of the bone, not where we were taught in school.) Hormones: ADH, Vasopressin, (controls frequency of urination) Oxytocin. Intermediate: LV 3/PC 8.

Sebacious glands: LV 11/PC2 distal to lacrimal gland location.

Secretin: 2-3 cun above SP10.

Sweat Glands: LV12/PC 1. UB50/GB31.

Thalamus: K2 (new)/HT 9

Thymus: Lower thymus: SP 7/LU 6 a. Upper thymus: SP 8/LU 6.

Thyroid: New K7/HT 7. Also above and below both. (I am always using K 7 as the Essentials’ K 3, right below their K7.) Hormones: Thyroxin: H7 in palm, TSH: HT 7, T 3: Ht 4. T 3: right above K 7-HT 5. In practice one treats the root so: T-3 is treated more above K7, thyroxin at K 7, and TSH is closer to K 6.

Vomeronasal Gland: This is the original smell gland, which allows animals to distinguish between family and foe. In humans it is vestigial, but I believe that in Lyme its weakness contributes to the difficulty of the immune system in distinguishing between normal and toxic fumes. LV 1

HERBAL TREATMENT OF LYME

The herbal approach to lyme is nowhere close to where it needs to be. Offered here is an herbal strategy being tested on my 50 or so Lyme clients. Since every antibiotic known to treat Lyme disease spirochetes develops resistance rather quickly, and there is no proven case of a cure, then a containment approach to spirochetes is a logical alternative. For those who have completed a course of antibiotics, or for those who never intend to take that route, herbs can make a huge difference.

The two main herbal approaches to Lyme treatment that are widely followed are Stephen Buhner's approach in Healing Lyme, and Matthew Wood's allegations about the efficacy of teasel.1 Stephan Buhner's book was so impressive that I abandoned my Chinese herbal background and just used his approach for a couple of years. It worked splendidly for a while and then people started developing resistance. Nonetheless, if someone comes in with an acute case, such as a swollen knee or disc, then it's usually my first line of choice. He mostly uses a combination of Cat's claw, Polygonum Cuspida, Huperzyme and Andrographis for the spirochetes. This combination of herbs worked well for up to a couple of years on most of my patients who could stomach them.2

Buhner suggested that patients work up to a high dosage of these herbs for up to eight months and then stop, figuring them to be in remission. Whenever I took people off these herbs for more than a couple of days, pulses and reflex areas would become weak again. Since Lyme is always killing neurons, that was not acceptable, so I kept patients on a low dosage of the protocol until it ceased to work.

Once the Cat's Claw stopped working, there was a large period of flailing around trying to find another way to control Lyme spirochetes. Much of the rest this protocol (swipes, chords) was thought up during this period. While all of these procedures were highly useful, one still needs an herbal backup to keep the spirochetes at bay. Ultimately, it looked like no-one else was going to come up with a formula, so I took matters into my own hands. The intent was to make a formula more based on bolstering up the defenses to the spirochetes, then a front on attack. To me it is crazy that one builds formulas on energetics of herbs without checking to see how they react on a particular disease. Chinese medicine is all about addressing the needs of a particular patient with specific herbs, but it is my belief that diseases have a signature vibration that can and must be addressed by a specific set of herbs. Muscle testing of herbs will measure the impact upon pulses and organs, so you get very clear readings about whether an herb will accomplish what it needs to do.

Numerous formulas have been tried and refined on my clients, and a series of valid formulas are the result. The spirochetes seem to figure their way around any formula within about six-twelve months, at which point the symptoms will return and the pulses no longer show any effect. So what we have is a series of formulas that should be given in sequence, as the body develops tolerance.

The first tier of formulas are both easier on the gut than cat's claw and resveratol and may be used for those clients who cannot stomach the original herbs. Of these two new formulas, one consists entirely of Chinese herbs, while the other is made only with Western herbs. None of the herbs in either formula has toxic effects, but no formula is deemed safe for pregnant or lactating women. Both have shown good results in clearing Lyme symptoms.

The Chinese formula is called Infight III and is available from Spring Wind Dispensary at springwinddispensary.com. It consists of Polygonum Cuspida, Perilla Leaf, Pueraria, Curcuma, Scutelaria, Salvia, Schizandra, White Peony, Lyceum Berries, Cinnamon Twig, Licorice and Ginger. I have several reports of people who are doing nothing but this formula, who claimed having all their symptoms relieved. Energetically, it supports the exterior and clears toxins, but only the first herb is known to have a direct affect on spirochetes. I kinda think it's a great formula. Start slowly with one twice daily and work up to 3 twice daily for the average person. Any formula that addresses spirochetes effectively may cause a die off reaction when first taken. (Infight 5 uses Lonicera flower and Japanese Teasel root instead of the Polygonum multifor, which some people had found hard on their stomach. It is not quite as effective as the original formula, but it does offer an alternative for those resistant to the Infight III.) None of these herbs has much toxicity, but no herbs should be used with pregnant or lactating women, and all herbs can be potentially harmful in the wrong circumstances. Consult a professional if you have difficulties.

The western herbal formula is called Lyme Nettles 5 and is available from Dragon River Herbals (drhs@valornet.com). I to 1 1/2 teaspoons twice daily is the average dose. The herbs employed are Nettles, Rosemary, Yerba Santa, Mullen, Eyebright, Yarrow, Boneset, Oat Flower, Dandelion Leaf and Japanese Teasel. (Native teasel could not be found by the distributer.) Use if you really cannot stomach the Chinese herbs or alternate with the Chinese formula every couple of months to delay resistance. In order for a formula to be considered effective in my book, it must strengthen pulses, vials relating to immunity, different parts of the nervous system and the brain on at least ten different people with Lyme. While clinical trials would be ideal, the first formula (Infight 3) has been tested on at least 30 people for several months and shows really strong potential to keep spirochetes at bay.

To both of these formulas I added an adjunctive treatment called Retrovirus Stomp to treat the HERV-W infection that seems present in 90% of clients. (See New Developments in the advanced section.)

Once tolerance has resulted to either or both of these formulas, you can procede to Infight 7 and then Infight 8.2 is the latest. Those who are sickest seem to develop tolerance quickest. Both of these formulas and the Retrovirus Stomp are available from Spring Wind Distributers.

Years after people have stopped using a particular antibiotic for the spirochetes, it will not test as a strengthening factor on either nerves or immunity. Nor has any patient yet shown that they can go back on Cat's claw or any previous formula once resistance has been acquired.

Probably another strategy needs to be employed to delay resistance. If you rely on just one regiment to fight your war, it doesn't matter how good they are, without a wider front of support they are not likely to win. If patients have hidden infections of MS or rheumatoid bacteria and viruses, for example, then the inflammation created by these diseases will probably make the spirochete treatment less effective and more susceptible to creating resistance. Building the right parts of immunity with acupuncture or nutritional support of cellular membranes are examples of other strategies that are probably necessary in addition to herbs. Good diet is always a crucial factor. The Biotics Research crew has for their part, also developed a completely different strategy to impede replication of spirochetes.3

Long term Lyme is characterized by a slew of Lyme tick co-infections, as well as a seemingly endless number of opportunistic bacteria, viruses and fungi. The only coinfection addressed so far with an herbal formula is the retrovirus HERV-W that seems to cause autoimmune symptoms with Lyme. Most people seem to have it. (See article under testimonial section.) If your patient tests for HERV-W and it is not clearing with the carwash, then order the Retrovirus Stomp from Spring Wind herbal. Take approximately six (3X2) per day along with the Infight 3. The majority of people with long-term Lyme are probably going to need to do these two formulas indefinitely.

The question of co-infections does not pose a problem in my practice since the carwash seems to do such a great job of controlling or eliminating them. From a muscle testing point of view, the antibiotic or the herbal treatment of co-infections have not been sufficiently impressive, since the infections mostly seem to relapse after a time. Herbal formulas could and should be developed to treat each and every one of these infections for those who find the carwash unbelievable, but that is not the task at hand. Suffice to say that health cannot be restored to a body unless all these infections are addressed, and many of them will impede the ability of the patient to take the herbs. If a patient is having a hard time taking the herbs, then have them do carwash for a couple of weeks twice daily to reduce the fungal and bacterial infections latent in the gut. Co-infections may have to treated before patients can stomach some of these herbal alternatives.

1The Book of Herbal Wisdom, Matthew Wood., North Atlantic Books, Berkley, Ca 1997 I have tested two or three varieties of teasel tincture, none of which showed a major strengthening effect on either pulses or muscles or nerve areas. It is possible that the species I obtained were not particularly potent, but since my local herbal distributor (Dragon River) was not able to obtain any, I sort of gave up on American teasel.

2 If someone wants to take just one herb, and is new to Chinese Medicine, then that herb should be Cat's Claw. Many people find it too harsh on the stomach and some may be able to tolerate it better as a liquid. Start slowly with cat's claw to allow the body to get used to it. Use Source Naturals' Cat's Claw at 500 mg. (standardized 3% formula), three pills at least twice per day. This will usually bring down the initial infection or treat an aggravation such as sciatica.

3 Research has shown that lyme spirochetes depend on manganese for replication. This is a tentative program to inhibit the uptake of manganese. Use Iodizyme (1 daily), Ultra-Seleno M Plus (2 daily), Zinc forte (2 daily) Organic 15 (2 daily), NAC (2 daily), all from Biotic's Research. Long term zinc usage needs to be balanced with copper to avoid copper anemia. 1 CU-zyme every third day, taken at least two hours away from the zinc is sufficient. For those who are sensitive to herbs this is a good alternative. I rarely use this anymore because taking the herbal formula clears all the reflex points that shows that the body wants these supplements.

New Developments (1/21/11)

It’s been a while since this has been updated. Apologies. Resistance developed all too soon to the Infight 3 formula. It was replaced with Infight 7, but that too developed resistance within about three months. All herbal clients are now on Infight 8.2, which seems to be a better product than the above in that in strengthens more immune markers as well as the spinal nerves. There does seem to be a sequence, where Cat’s claw and Resveratol are the first line of choice for naif patients, then moving to infight 3, next 7, then 8 as needed. The Retrovirus Stomp formula has become a standard addition to all herbal programs. So far this sequence has kept the majority of my clients from deteriorating significantly, expect when the formulas stopped working.

There was some despair that one couldn’t just keep finding herbs that would work to keep the spirochetes at bay, but once you abandon the idea of using herbs as antibiotics, and just use them to strengthen immunity around this particular pathogen, then it’s more a matter of addressing it’s presenting signature. Time will tell whether this theory is correct, meanwhile the formulas work. Ironically, the original message of Chinese medicine was to address the presentation. The difference is that traditional Chinese medicine would have you address the presentation of each individual with a different formula, while here we address the variable presentations of spirochetes. It has been evident of the last few years that the same formula will treat anybody with the disease, you just have to keep adjusting for resistance.

The last eight months have been mostly spent learning how to deploy a portable rife machine into the battle against Lyme disease. See the article in the advanced section for details. My guess is that this is the wave of the future, so to speak. No herbs, no swipes, no acupuncture, just turn on the machine at bedtime. Yes, people are developing resistance to the spirochete frequencies of rife at about the same intervals of every three months. The difference is that one doesn’t have to develop a whole new formula, and the variations on the frequencies are equally as predictable as with the herbs. One will still need a muscle tester to ascertain which frequencies need adjusting, but that does not require a high level of muscle testing skill. At least it’s another major defense weapon added to the arsenal.

Other News

The HERV-W virus turns out to be more important than was thought. (See previous article below this one.) It looks as though this virus is not only making the body attack the myelin sheath but also the majority of the endocrine organs. It’s as if it is a machine putting bar chords on each of the endocrine organs telling the body to attack. Unfortunately the virus doesn’t seem to clear with just carwash, and so far clears best with the herbal formula Retrovirus Stomp.

Using the Retrovirus Stomp formula does such a great job of strengthening the endocrine organs that the whole swipe/strip treatment could be abandoned. The pancreas, thyroid, hypothalamus and pituitary are strengthened on every client tested. 3 clients who were not doing the swipes and whose endocrine organs were universally testing weak showed a strengthening of all of the above organs just by adding the Retrovirus Stomp formula for a month. Interesting.

Infight III is still a good formula, and for those who are looking for alternatives to cat’s claw, it rates pretty high. The more alternatives we have to antibiotics, the better. It does seem that one is going to need to address this bug by challenging it, not directly attacking it. Lyme Nettle 5 from Dragon River also works well. Tolerance seems to be the major problem with lyme spirochetes, but perhaps there is another way to look at this.

Let’s use the analogy of a forest fire. If only 3 or 4 trees are burning, one can use carwash and homeopathics quite successfully. If the ground is wet, i.e., the patient is young, then the danger of rapid spreading is far less. The greater the amount of trees burning, the longer the duration, the more firefighters will have to be deployed. Herbs are the major fire fighter, but genetics, exercise, yoga, qi gong or acupuncture, healthy diet, low stress levels are also major players. The tendency is to get sick of dealing with the beast and to go back to one’s normal lifestyle. As long as I feel bad I might as well... Once you have a major conflagration then more and more good fighters are going to be have to be employed more often. Swipes may have to be traded for immune chords, yoga may have to be practiced daily, and profligate expenditures of energy on bad food, drugs and alcohol will have to be severely curtailed. How do measure how many trees are burning? You can’t. All you can do is keep upping the ante on the right side of the equation. As Lyme becomes more and more of a known evil, then living with Lyme will be like living in Holland; you have to build up the dikes of the immune system so the sea monsters do not move in. You don’t have to know much about the monsters themselves, you just have to build really strong fortifications against the sea.

Those who are dealing with a major manifestation will always have to take stronger steps to move the spirochetes back into the recesses of the nervous system, but the emphasis should be on creating a defense system that can keep the beast corralled. This will always entail a major change to healthier habits.

Previous update

A New Virus found in Lyme Patients 5/24/10

A recent Discover magazine article presents excellent research linking schizophrenia to an internal retrovirus called HERV-W. Everyone has this virus in their DNA, but under certain circumstances it becomes activated, and causes disease. In schizophrenics it seems to be unmasked by an exposure to Toxoplasmosis, a parasite in cat litter, or else by an influenza virus. Because it was discovered while working on demented AIDS patents, it seemed possible that this virus could also be unmasked by Lyme disease. A homeopathic vial of the energy of the virus was ordered. It does indeed show up in most of my Lyme patients, in the myelin sheath of the nervous system and in the brains. The article says it is clearly indicated as a cause of MS as well as schizophrenia. The virus also seems to be operant in some cases of epilepsy.

The only patients that did not show energetic evidence of the virus were those recently infected or young children whose resistance was still fairly strong. Several of the patients with more difficult mental symptoms did show energetic evidence of Toxoplasmosis, though none showed evidence of schizophrenia. Clearing the virus with the carwash strengthened the myelin sheath in all patients, and considerably strengthened brain vials in many patients.

The Discover article mentioned that researchers were trying a course of the herb artemesian as a treatment for the toxoplasmosis. A Chinese herbal formula was created that incorporated artemesia qing hao for the brain inflammation in schizophrenia. A separate formula removed that herb to create a formula just for the virus itself. Western herbs were combined with Biotics Researches’ Ultravirex formula to create a similar treatment. Homeopathic formulas made from flower essences were also designed to treat the virus itself, the virus in MS, and the virus in schizophrenics.

My guess is that Lyme unmasks this virus in most people at a later stage of the disease, and that this is what causes the autoimmune condition of Lyme. Carwash does seems to clear this virus for several hours, but those who show symptoms will want to back it up with herbs or homeopathics.

Recipes. One can use any one of the following options, but you will have to muscle test for amounts needed on a daily basis.

For the virus itself: Biotics’ Ultravirex with equal parts of olive leaf, skullcap, thyme and nettles. If treating MS, add eyebright; if treating schizophrenia, add eyebright and artemesian.

Stephan Buhners book, Healing Lyme outlined a very good protocol for the herbal treatment of spirochetes. Unfortunately, all my clients developed tolerance to his cat’s claw protocol after 6 months to 1 1/2 years of treatment. Necessity has propelled a major search during the last couple of years to produce a substitute formula.

More than 20 different formulas were tested on my clients over the last two years. Happily, there are now two very good herbal formulas available that strengthen all vials relating to the nervous system. These are not clinical trials, but people really like these products. As a muscle tester, my criteria is to get as many vials as possible to show a strengthening around a formula or procedure. Both of these new formulas strengthen much all vials relating to immunity, joints and parts of the nervous system. At first, both Western and Chinese herbs were mixed in various formulas, but people wanted a formula that could be encapsulated. Once all the herbs in a formula were Chinese, it could be made into pill form. Infight III is the latest result and it does an excellent job of keeping symptoms such joint pain at bay. It is available from Spring Wind Dispensary (415-920-9990).(springwinddispensary.com). You would have to get your practitioner order it. Do not order any of the later manifestations (such as Infight IV) as they are experimental at this time. The dosage is normally 4 capsules twice a day and a bottle runs about $18 for 100 pills, or you can order it as a granulated tea. It’s a very good formula, but can be a little rough on the gut if one has a sensitive stomach. Maybe 15% complain of loose stools or reflux. Try taking it with digestive enzymes, and if that doesn’t work, try taking it with Tagamet or it’s generic. The Tagamet seems to reduce sensitivity. For people who don’t want to mess with the rest of the protocol, this formula alone gives pretty good results.

It seemed like a good idea to get one step ahead of the game, in case one developed tolerance to the Chinese formula, so I looked to create an all western herb formula. This new formula is a mixture of nettles, yerba santa, eyebright, rosemary, yarrow, dandelion leaf, boneset, mullein and teasel. My distributers couldn’t find a source of western teasel, so we went with a japanese version that seems to work fine. These herbs seem to be easier on the gut, and it tests almost as strongly as the Infight III. You can order it directly from Dragon River Herbal drhs@valornet.com as Lyme Nettle 5. They can also make you the Infight lII as a tincture, but it is more expensive than the pills. The Chinese formulas run about half the cost of the western herbs, all are much cheaper than antibiotics, (except doxycyclin) It is probably a good idea to switch between the formulas every couple of months to avoid developing tolerance. Neither formula addresses any of the co-infections, so the carwash is still crucial for that.

The other major new insight was about the parathyroid gland. While reading a 1927 book by one of the pioneers of the endocrine system (Harrower), I was struck by the authors remarks on the parathyroid. He used parathyroid glandular for spasms and cramping. He remarked that many of the syphilitics that he was seeing in that pre-antibiotic era, showed low parathyroid as well as low thyroid, adrenals and thymus. I started giving out parathyroid glandular to virtually every Lyme client and initially they mostly reported relaxation of leg muscles. Unfortunately, within a couple of weeks the cramping became worse as they went from deficient to excess parathyroid, so I realized the ratio of calcium to parathyroid needed to be more balanced. The correct ration for most clients is 2 of the Biotics’ CaMg+ (parathyroid), with 3-4 Biotic’s Research Osteo B II per day ( or 500 mg Ca. in a commercial calcium magnesium supplement). Many of my clients had normal blood calcium, but osteopenia and bad teeth, and it appears likely that low parathyroid is responsible for the drawing of calcium from the bones and teeth. Muscle testers will probably find this a universal for Lyme clients. Check carefully for correct ratio because excess parathyroid had some association with hypertension and cancer as well as bone loss. The parathyroid gland is also responsible for the conversion of sunlight into Vitamin D, so parathyroid deficiency may explain the common blood test result in lyme patients of a lack of Vitamin D. Once people start doing the endocrine swipe for a couple of months, their need for parathyroid decreases.

The second insight from this endocrinology book was the realization that most of my clients have many endocrine weakness that do not recover when the spirochetes have been successfully addressed. The endocrine glands are like firefighters that have spent years on overtime trying to put out a fire. Once the fire has been controlled, with the herbs and carwash, the function of the glands needs to be built up. Acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas, or naturopathic glandular supplements will all increase endocrine function, but this website is all about dirt cheap and self treatment, so I developed another endocrine toner swipe. Only problem is that the website charges an arm an a leg for these flower essences. Sorry. The nerve toner turns on the supply lines to the endocrine system, and the endocrine toner rebuild basic organ energy and neurotransmitter supply. The current protocol is to do both the endocrine swipe and nerve toner swipe daily along with whichever herb formula you choose and the carwash.

A brief note on why Peggy Creelman D.O.M. has earned my consummate respect:

I was sent to Peggy Creelman by my Lyme Disease specialist after he had treated my Lyme Disease, aggressively, for four and a half months with every western antibiotic he knew of. I was taking a daily cocktail of 3-4 types of antibiotics. My Lyme symptoms remained and my intestines were showing severe stress from all of the antibiotics, even though I was taking handfuls of pro-biotics daily. With Peggy’s extensive knowledge of Chinese herbs and medicines she was able to diminish many of my symptoms immediately with a prescribed daily dose.

Peggy is also highly knowledgeable in many other forms of healing, E.G. kinesiology, homeopathy and Korean hand points. She has taken all of these healing disciplines and has created her own unique form of healing which REALLY WORKS! Once she put me on this system (which she calls the hand carwash), 90% of my remaining symptoms disappeared! She is still refining her treatment and has figured out a way of attacking the remaining spirochetes in my body that have incased themselves in cyst form making them invisible to my immune system. These newer treatments work VERY, VERY well. THIS is what I admire the most about Peggy. She doesn’t sit back on her heels, proclaiming she knows it all. She is constantly doing research and refining her curing approaches.

I trust her with my life. She took me from barely being able to function because of my long list of Lyme Disease symptoms to my having access to 40+ hours a week of intense aerobic activity (I am a bartender at a very busy prime steakhouse and a Flamenco dancer).

If there is any healer you can trust, its Peggy Creelman D.O.M.! She has not only tamed Lyme Disease but has also cured many other ailments I’ve been challenged by over the years.

Respectfully submitted,
Mary Woolston

I have been doing the immunity chords and car wash for at least 6 months and I have been having a significant decrease in periods of sweating and heat. I have had an increase in energy. I have begun to sleep better. Even though I interact with 250 elementary age school children every week I have not even had a cold, unusual for me. I do the car wash and 2 of the 6 immunity chords daily. I also have had an overall decrease in any joint pain. I am a complete advocate of this system of dealing with my Lyme's disease. I have not taken Cat's Claw or any other treatment for my Lyme's disease during this period.

Car washing daily a few minutes is enough to keep my Lyme Disease at bay; a life saver for me. Far too many years of not knowing what my odd collection of symptoms might be abut nearly finished me. The slightest mental or physical activity was exhausting.

Now through Peggy Creelman’s innovative approach to Lyme Disease she has given me a focus and some strategies for countering its chameleon-like quality: the car wash basic among them.

My mental acuity improves. I have more physical energy and the ability to live life and to work.

Since seeing Peggy, I have been able to sweep the floor every 9 days, drive 1-3 times a week within a 5-20 mile radius, and I am actually using my power scooter 95% less to get from my bed to the kitchen and back. Today for the first time since living in Santa Fe (where have I been?) I was actually able to drive myself all the way to the farmers market, walk around for about 10 minutes, and pick up a few fresh veggies. This is what I call getting my life back, and it feels phenomenal after living in bed for so long. This is something I hadn't been able to do since 2006. It was something I desperately wanted to do, but literally couldn't due to extreme exhaustion, dizziness, lethary, and all the other horrible symptoms that go along with Lyme Disease. Huge progress. Consider that before seeing her, I felt like no one would ever really be able to help me. I had seen so many western and alternative practitioners, I sort of gave up on the whole deal. (undiagnosed and misdiagnosed from lyme for most of my life) Having tried almost everything under the sun. Until a friend came along and said, 'You really should see a DOM.' He seemed to have a lot more faith in the practice than I did, since I had been thru the ringer before trying to get better. I thought about it for a few weeks, and asked my cousins husband, also a DOM in CO, if he knew of a good person to help me in Santa Fe. He gave me Peggys number.

Before seeing Peggy, I was only driving an average of once every couple of months. I was only physically able to sweep the floor every few months, and I was using my power scooter more frequently. There were bouts last year and the year before where for a few days, I felt strong and could move around more, but I would 'crash' for weeks or months on end. Now I seem to kick back without crashing so hard. Peggys herbs and protocols are easy and I would say to anyone to stay away from antibiotics and give this a try. I have a way to go, but this is unbelievably huge progress. I would recommend her to anyone with chronic lyme. (please note, I also was doing a phone class and the online www.beinhealth.com the same time I was seeing Peggy, as well as some EFT tapping along thru a CD, glutathione nebulizer, and improving my diet) It all works together. This disease requires mind, body, and soul, and I am so grateful for Peggy!

Peggy began treating me about 12 years ago, so I’ve experienced the evolution of her treatment of lyme disease. I’m trained in scientific method and I was skeptical of muscle testing, energy paths, and other strange concepts new to me. But numerous times I’ve intentionally not bothered to tell her at the beginning of a treatment what history, symptoms, and pains I was experiencing and she would ask me early in the session if I was experiencing the exact things I was keeping from her. Eventually, I got so much better, I quit seeing her for a year and relied on a strict diet and exercise routine; but that didn’t work. When we started, I slept 9 hours a night supplemented by an hour and a half nap in the afternoon. Now I sleep 7 hours a night, 6 will do, with a half hour nap. Once upon a time I was sick half the winter and used twentyish sick days per year. In the past 6 years, as Peggy has refined her techniques and knowledge, I have used one sick day--and that’s while going through an unwanted divorce which necessitated increasing my workweek from full time to 50% more than full time. I feel better, work better, and play harder at age 54 than I did in my twenties. Sixteen years ago I became a paid frontline firefighter in order to write. Despite the physical stresses of the job, I still keep up with the young bucks. One anecdotal example is not statistical proof, but there’s much to lose if one doesn’t try; and if one gains as much as I have, the cost is not only worth the money and relatively small amounts of time, but is highly profitable. My number is 505-660-6588, if you want more information.

The clinic in Santa Fe, New Mexico is called el Bienestar: well-being.

The main goal of the Lyme protocol published on this site, is to maintain and support the patient's strength, well-being and immune system throughout the treatment process. The idea is that if you help the body itself to recognize the infection, it can itself be stimulated to combat it. The protocol combines two decades of experience in acupuncture, muscle testing and energetic medicine and aims to provide a synthesized, all-natural way to alleviate the symptoms and causes of Lyme. Peggy Creelman graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in 1987, and was certified in Applied Kiniseology in 1998.
